On March 4 this year, a meeting was held between the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Khushvakhtsoda Kobiljon Khushvakht and the Director General of the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhang Yaoming.

During the meeting, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Kobiljon Khushvakht welcomed the guests of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and expressed his thoughts on the development of prospects for scientific cooperation with research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issue of holding international conferences and symposia related to solving global problems of the planet, including in connection with the announcement of “2025 – International Year of Glacier Conservation”, and the parties agreed to hold an international conference.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a new modern laboratory with modern equipment and technologies at the Central Asian Research Center for Ecology and Environmental Protection (Dushanbe), which will be put into operation with the support of the Chinese side.

The commissioning of the new laboratory at the Central Asian Research Center for Ecology and Environmental Protection is scheduled for April with the participation of the parties.
