The KAZENERGY Association, chaired by the Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mansur Oshurbayev, held a round table on the topic “Distribution of Carbon Credit Units for 2026-2030”. 

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, operators of large oil and gas projects – members of the Association, foreign investors, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Zhasyl Damu JSC took part in the round table. 

The participants discussed issues of fair and equitable distribution of greenhouse gas emission quotas for 2026-2030, including taking into account production growth, including installations whose capacity increases due to the implementation of investment projects.

The event made it possible to unite the efforts of government agencies and members of the Association to form a fair and transparent system within the framework of the National Carbon Credit Plan for 2026-2030, as well as to lay the foundation for further cooperation to develop proposals to improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
