As part of the Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2025), Panel Session 1: “Climate Finance and Innovation” will bring together leading international and national experts to discuss cutting-edge financing mechanisms for climate initiatives.
Sub-session 1.1. Representatives of climate funds (Green Climate Fund, Loss and Damage Fund, Climate Investment Funds, etc.), international partners (EU, GIZ, UN), and banks (WB, ADB) will present their programs and plans to support national and regional climate actions.
Sub-session 1.2. Representatives of finance ministries, development agencies, and the private sector will explore opportunities for investment and public-private partnerships in climate adaptation.
This session will serve as a platform for exchanging best practices and strengthening partnerships in sustainable development.
Turkmenistan will host the Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2025) on 13-15 May 2025 in Ashgabat, bringing together representatives of the Central Asian relevant government agencies, international organizations, and experts to advance climate action in the region.
Themed “Achieving the Global Climate Finance Goal through Regional and National Actions in Central Asia,” the conference aims to address the urgent need for climate financing and sustainable solutions. It will focus on mobilizing financial resources, strengthening regional cooperation, and enhancing climate resilience.
CACCC-2025 is organized by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in partnership with the Government of Turkmenistan and support from the World Bank RESILAND CA+ Program, the Central Asia Water and Energy Program (CAWEP), and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
