ReCATH: Webinar on ICAT’s Agriculture Methodology

As part of its work to advance available tools for assessing the impact of policies on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the Regional Center for Transparency in Climate Action (ReCATH) team is organizing a webinar on October 2, 2024, 10:00 – 12:00 Almaty time to present ICAT’s Agriculture Methodology to key stakeholders.
The ICAT Agriculture Guidance provides a comprehensive framework to help countries assess the greenhouse gas (GHG) impacts of agricultural policies, supporting the achievement of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement. This guidance ensures alignment with global climate goals while fostering sustainable agricultural practices and enabling transparent and accountable reporting on GHG emissions.
The event will provide an overview of the guidance that helps assess the impact of agricultural policies on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and how this tool can help develop climate-resilient agricultural practices.
The event will be conducted in Russian and is relevant for policymakers, climate experts, agricultural specialists, and stakeholders involved in developing national climate strategies, academic society and GHG inventories
