
REGIONAL VALIDATION WORKSHOP OF THE BLUE PEACE CENTRAL ASIA INITIATIVE, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

On March 28, 2025, a regional validation workshop of the Blue Peace Central Asia initiative will be held in Tashkent. Participants will include representatives from key regional and national stakeholder groups, such as national ministries and agencies, members of the Regional Advisory Committee, national policy institutes, universities, NGOs, regional and international organizations.
The validation workshop aims to ensure that the Inception Phase findings and proposed measures for the Implementation Phase for the Blue Peace Central Asia 2.0 are reviewed, approved, and aligned with the stakeholders’ local, national, and regional priorities.
Blue Peace Central Asia aims to strengthen regional water cooperation across borders in Central Asia. It aims to benefit the population by ensuring equitably shared and effectively managed water resources in the context of climate change.
The workshop is organized by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
