The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) invites you to an online presentation of the analytical review of the UNFCCC COP28 outcomes and prospects for Central Asia.
The presentation will take place on February 7, 2024, at 16.00 (Almaty time, GMT+6).
“The review focuses on Central Asia, but I hope it will be useful to everyone. Its content is broader than COP28 and covers the future and the important role of NGOs. In addition, it is also a kind of reference book with about 100 hyperlinks to various materials,” says Alexei Kokorin, the author of the analytical review and CAREC international expert.
The review includes general information on the participation of Central Asia in the last COP28 and a detailed consideration of COP28 crucial decisions. These include the Global Stocktaking, the Global Adaptation Target, Loss and Damage Solutions, Responses, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, Mitigation and Just Transition Work Programs, Long-Term Financing, and the Finance IP Target.
The presentation of the review will take place in a Zoom conference.
