DUSHANBE, December 26, 2023 /NIAT “Khovar”/. In Dushanbe, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulaimon Ziyozoda, a meeting of the state interdepartmental commission on environmental education was held as part of the implementation of the “State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025.”
As NIAT “Khovar” was informed by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the meeting was attended by members of state interdepartmental commissions and relevant commissions of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Sughd and Khatlon regions, the city of Dushanbe and regions of republican subordination.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Sulaimon Ziyozoda especially emphasized the initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, to protect water and climate, including the next initiative to declare 2025 the International Year of Glacier Conservation, as well as government support for all areas of environmental protection, including the development of a “green” economy and climate change.
On this issue, at the meeting, the deputy chairman of the interdepartmental State Commission, chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahodur Sheralizoda, informed about the specific results of the implementation of the program under consideration, which had previously been analyzed and studied, in the activities of the relevant commissions of the executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts of the republic.
Also, each member of the commission, representatives of ministries, departments and other responsible institutions reported on the activities for 2023 in implementing the program.
At the end, an appropriate decision was made at the meeting, taking into account the implementation of reports, instructions, instructions, proposals and recommendations.
