Agriculture is a critical sector in the Caucuses and Central Asia (CCA). It is one of the largest generators of livelihoods in the region and is therefore integral to the development of economic and social stability. Since the dissolution of the former Soviet Union in 1991, the countries in the CCA have worked to establish trade flows and explore internationalmarkets to boost exports. Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are three of the countries working towards this goal.
