Almaty. March 4. KazTAG – The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the establishment in Almaty of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, the press service of Akorda reports.
“Today, with the co-authorship of 152 countries, the UN General Assembly adopted by consensus a resolution on the establishment in Almaty of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan,” the statement said.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked everyone for supporting the initiative.
The head of state believes that the UN Regional Hub will become an important platform for coordinating international efforts in the region.
