On December 30, 2023, the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sheralizoda Bakhodur Ahmadjon, with the participation of the management of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, visited the agrometeorological station “Gissar” and got acquainted with the working conditions of workers, the work of the station, preparation for winter, the progress of repair and restoration work on buildings and structures, progress of work on observation and study of meteorological processes.
The agrometeorological station “Gissar” of the Hydrometeorology Agency of the Committee was built in 1968, where meteorological and agrometeorological observations are carried out manually, the results of which will be used in the process of developing agrometeorological forecasts, climate reference books and planning the sowing process in the cities and regions of Tursunzade, Gissar, Shahrinav, Rudaki and Vahdat.
This station was overhauled in 2023 and equipped with modern meteorological and agrometeorological apparatus and equipment, and household materials.
Chairman of the Committee Sheralizoda B.A. got acquainted with the process of meteorological and agrometeorological observations, the progress of construction work and gave specific instructions on strengthening work on landscaping, planting fruit and shady trees and rational use of land.
