On May 20-21, the Resource Efficiency in Agri-Food Production and Processing» (REAP) project team will participate in the 6th SWITCH-Asia annual conference to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
More than 130 participants from Europe, Asia and the Pacific region are expected at the conference, including representatives of ongoing projects funded by SWITCH-Asia, representatives of government agencies, regional organizations, experts in the field of sustainable consumption and production (SCP). The main objective of this conference is to summarize the results of the work done and discuss plans for the future. The conference participants will be able to fully discuss the implementation of SCP and circular economy practices, share their experiences and create innovative solutions in the field of SCP.
The REAP project is implemented by an international consortium under financial support of the European Union. The consortium comprises the National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of Tajikistan (NAMSB), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCIUz), the German Consulting Office adelphi, the Association for the Promotion of Recycling and Environmental Protection in Austria (AREC), STENUM Asia Sustainable Development Society (STENUM Asia), and the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The consortium is led by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC).
