E&E – 117/119 Report – Kyrgyzstan The approach used in the assessment was to collect and analyze information on biodiversity and related areas through documentation searches, interviews with key individuals and organizations in Kyrgyzstan and Washington D.C. concerned with biodiversity (see Annex C, List of Persons Contacted), and field trips.
This biodiversity assessment has three interlinked objectives: · To summarize the status of biodiversity and its conservation in Central Asia. Specifically, it analyzes threats, identifies opportunities, and makes recommendations for the improved conservation of biodiversity. This information will help USAID and other organizations and individuals, as appropriate, make decisions related to biodiversity conservation.
