The 2014 Dushanbe Seminar Report, including a draft Action Plan, has been prepared by an independent consultant for the United Nations Regional
Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA). The report is based on the presentations, group works and discussions during the International Seminar on “Glaciers Melting in Central Asia – Time for Action” co-organized by UNRCCA, UNESCO Almaty offi ce, the Executive Committee of
IFAS and the World Bank. The seminar was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 11 and 12 November, 2014.
This report does not necessarily refl ect the offi cial position or the views of the UNRCCA or the United Nations system as a whole. The document also
includes fi ndings of the World Bank Almaty 2014 seminar, the publication “Water Unites – From the Glaciers to the Aral Sea”, websites of the UN,
