On August 1, 2024, the Central Asia Civil Society Climate Network met. The event brought together environmental organizations and activists from across the region to discuss current challenges and opportunities in adapting to climate change.
At the meeting, participants had the opportunity to share news about the development of the network, voice their ideas and proposals. Important topics were raised, such as improving interaction between different organizations, expanding the network’s reach and developing new initiatives to increase the resilience of communities to climate change.
One of the key moments of the event was a short but informative session by Yuri Skochilov, Coordinator of the Climate Network of Tajikistan. In his speech on “Methodologies for assessing climate risks and vulnerability at the community level”, Yuri presented approaches and tools that can be used to analyze and reduce climate risks. His presentation generated great interest and subsequent discussion among the participants.
The recording of the meeting is available on our YouTube channel, where you can see all the materials and speeches presented. We invite everyone who was unable to join the event to watch the recording and contribute to the development of the climate network.
