A side event of Tajikistan was held within the framework of the 31st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum in Prague, dedicated to international initiatives on water resources management for sustainable development in the context of climate change. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin spoke about the country’s efforts to advance the water and climate agenda, including the results of the Third International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (Dushanbe, June 2024) and the UN resolution on the “International Year of Glacier Preservation – 2025”. Nasredin also noted the importance of strengthening cooperation within the OSCE to jointly address water and climate issues, emphasizing the need for financial and technical support for vulnerable countries.
