DUSHANBE, 17.09.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 17, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, took part in and spoke at the Second Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Germany in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

At the summit, the heads of state discussed further directions of fruitful cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Germany.

The leader of the nation, the respected Emomali Rahmon, expressed confidence that “the continuation of our dialogue in Central Asia and Germany will contribute to joint efforts to identify promising areas of multilateral cooperation and achieve practical results.”

The head of state, the respected Emomali Rahmon, stated: “We are ready to continue close cooperation with our partners to achieve the goal of establishing a strategic partnership between Central Asia and Germany.”

It was emphasized that balanced trade, economic and investment cooperation between countries should become one of the main priorities.

During his speech, the President of the country, the respected Emomali Rahmon, noted the potential of Tajikistan’s hydropower resources for the production of “green energy”, Tajikistan’s global initiatives to address global problems such as climate change and its impact, melting glaciers, drought, floods and other problems of the world community, and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with partners, including Germany.

Fruitful cooperation in the name of ensuring security and stability in the region and the world was also considered very important.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, also drew the attention of the heads of state to the issues of developing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, education and training of personnel for various sectors of the economy.

In conclusion of his speech, the Head of State, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, expressed hope that the results of the Second Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Germany will contribute to the further strengthening of cooperative relations for the benefit of all peoples.

At the end of the summit, a joint declaration was adopted by the heads of state of Central Asia and Germany.
