Ecology AKIpress – An event at the government level is planned for October to summarize the preliminary results of five years of actions to develop mountain regions. This was reported on the air of the radio by Dastan Abdyldayev, an expert of the secretariat of the special representative of the president for the development of mountain regions and an expert on climate diplomacy.
In September 2023, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree declaring 2023–2027 the Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions.
“Within this five-year period, adaptation measures are planned at the regional, national and global levels. We must monitor their implementation,” Abdyldayev said.
The expert noted that at the meeting in October all activities carried out by government agencies and departments in this area and future activities will be discussed.
Dastan Abdyldaev also said that following the Five Years of Action, a large global mountain summit “Bishkek+25” will be held in Bishkek in 2027.
