In addition, the meeting discussed preliminary studies and future plans for the construction of a hydroelectric power station on the Chatkal River in the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic with representatives of the Chinese company CEEC.

At the end of the meeting, it was proposed to organize regular meetings of working groups and sign a “Roadmap” for the implementation of projects, which will strengthen cooperation between the countries in the field of energy and water resources.

Let us recall that the irrigation season has ended in Kazakhstan. In total, during the growing season, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation supplied about 11.2 billion cubic meters of water to Kazakhstan’s farmers. This year, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan sent more water to our country than originally planned, noted Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
