On November 14, 2024, the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Programme team took part in a webinar on “The EU Green Deal in 2024: Perspectives in the Asia-Pacific Context,” organized by the SWITCH-Asia Policy Support Component.
The webinar focused on the European Green Deal’s progress and its implications in a rapidly changing global environment. Key topics included the Deal’s climate neutrality goals, advancements in circular economy policies, sustainable energy initiatives, and strategies for a just and inclusive transition. The discussion also explored how the Green Deal’s principles can be adapted and applied in the Asia-Pacific context, emphasizing the need for regional cooperation and innovative approaches to sustainability.
