On December 13–14, 2024, the Fergana Polytechnic Institute hosted a onsite meeting of the LESLIE project (Land Management, Environment & Solid-Waste: Inside Education and Business in Central Asia), funded under the Erasmus+ program, established by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The project aims to advance sustainable land management and environmental practices in Central Asia.
The main focus of the meeting was on discussing the project’s achieved results, planning the work for the upcoming year, and developing strategies for future progress. Participants reviewed the current tasks and outlined key areas for action, including sustainable land management, the creation of the International Sustainable Land Management Hub , and the Future Learning Incubator .
In addition, significant attention was given to the development of microcredentials , an online toolbox and plans for impact and dissemination . The engaging discussions fostered the exchange of ideas and strengthened collaboration among partners from Europe, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
