INFORMATION LETTER
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is hosting the TURKISH WORLD II: INTERNATIONAL GEOGRAPHY CONGRESS.
The purpose of the congress – is to improving scientific research in the field of sustainable development, discussing current issues in the field of geography and strengthening cooperation between the Turkic countries. The congress will address issues of sustainable development, climate change, efficient use of natural resources, environmental safety and regional integration of the Turkic countries. This event also provides for the exchange of experience between scientific communities, the introduction of innovative methods and technologies, as well as the development of common strategies aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Travel and accommodation expenses are at the expense of the congress participants. A hotel can be booked for accommodation (upon prior request) or a list of hotels located near the congress venue can be provided.
Poster presentation. Speakers are expected to participate in the form of a poster presentation. Electronic poster format is accepted by e-mail no later than March 20, 2025 to
turkgeocongress@gmail.com. In case of in-person participation, posters are presented in A1 format.
Official publications: Congress program and collection of articles. The best articles will be sent for publication to the journal Vestnik KazNU. Geographical Series. The remaining materials will be published in an electronic collection of articles and sent to all participants of the Congress.
The Organizing Committee of the Congress reserves the right to reject papers submitted outside the main areas of work of the Congress and to publish abstracts that do not meet the above requirements. The text must be edited stylistically and technically. The Organizing Committee does not provide for editing the text of materials. One and the same person cannot be the author or co-author of more than three papers. The same person cannot be the author or co-author of more than three reports.
All registered participants will be sent the congress program and a link to the video conference. All participants (speakers) will be issued an electronic certificate confirming participation in the congress.
Organizational fee: the contribution amount from each participant of the Republic of Kazakhstan (one application from up to 4 authors) is 7,000 tenge, for foreign participants – 30 (EUR).
For foreign participants of the congress participating offline, the registration fee will be paid in cash upon arrival at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Requirements for the design of materials (Appendix №1)
Article design:
The name of the file containing the article: the surname of the author (the first author, if the article was written jointly) the article (for example, Orynbasarova G. O._ article).
The volume of the article: 3-8 pages. Single-spaced material in the Word text editor using the Times New Roman font. The font is 12 size.
Page margins: left – 3 cm, top – 2 cm, right – 1.5 cm and bottom – 2.5 cm. Diagrams, graphs, diagrams, drawings (JPG, tif, 300 dpi; 600 dpi for bit images) and other graphic materials can be made in black and white using the Word text editor. The graphic materials of the table should contain references in the text, the serial number and the name. References to primary sources in the text are enclosed in square brackets indicating the number in the list of sources used and the page numbers when quoting.; the list (drawn up according to GOST 7.1 – 2003) is placed at the end of the article (Appendix 2).
The article structure includes:
IRSTI (International Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information) (http://grnti.ru/) recommended alignment on the left edge of the track.
Space between lines.
Title (name) of the article. The title of the article is written in bold, capital letters, aligned – centered.
The full name of the author (authors) of the article (bold, 12 font size), place of work, city, country and e-mail (10 font size) are indicated. Information about the authors is presented simply in lowercase letters, aligned – centered.
Space between lines.
The volume of the abstract should not exceed 150 words (in italics). Key words: 5 words or phrases.
Bibliography after the space after the main text, font size 10 font.
Materials submitted later than the specified deadline or not formatted in accordance with the requirements will not be considered and will not be returned.
One participant may not be an author or co-author of more than three reports.
The phrase “the article is published for the first time” is mandatory in the article, articles that have not been published in other publications are accepted.
