AQCA – Central Asian Air Quality Platform

 

This platform was initiated by a group of actors working on the topic of air quality in Central Asia in March 2022. At the moment, more than 30 organizations in the region are members of the platform.

 

  AQCA is a platform for:

 

  • Initiating an air quality dialogue among Central Asian countries to support a regional clean air movement
  • A database of research on air pollution in Central Asia
  • Demonstration of technologies and actions taken by civil society, academia, and government agencies to improve air quality in Central Asia
  • Exploring technologies in Central Asia and beyond to improve air quality
  • Exchanging experiences in making reliable data and information about air quality available in Central Asia
  • Exploring new air quality topics, including but not limited to gender, economics, and other considerations
  • Creating constructive partnerships among members of civil society, scientific and academic communities, businesses, media and government agencies to support the clean air movement
  • Regional cooperation to prevent sandy winds in cities and to study the effects of anthropogenic air pollution on the environment
