The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) launches registration of the Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2024).
In 2024, the Conference CACCC-2024 will consider critical issues pertaining to water, energy, food security, and environmental sustainability within the context of a climate-affected Central Asia.
“The Central Asia Climate Change Conference is to be a significant milestone in the ongoing regional climate discourse,” says Dilovarsho Dustzoda, Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Program Manager.
CACCC-2024 participants will provide information about the progress made by Central Asian countries in climate mitigation and adaptation, including their reporting under the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).
CAREC organizes CACCC-2024 under Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program in the Aral Sea Basin AF (CAMP4ASB AF) and “Climate Risk Management in Central Asia” program by GIZ.
CAREC implements CAMP4ASB AF jointly with EC IFAS under the financial support of the World Bank and the Green Climate Fund.
