Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, held an official meeting with the Executive Director of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC), Zafar Makhmudov, and the Country Director of CAREC in Kazakhstan, Yerlan Zhumabayev.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of cooperation in current climate areas.
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted the importance of active interaction between CAREC and the agency in addressing issues in the field of climate change.
The CAREC leadership presented a country action plan for 2024 with an emphasis on carrying out international environmental projects, strengthening regional and global cooperation, and assisting the Ministry in implementing the Rio Conventions.
