You are invited to attend the AQCA conference 2024.
The conference topic for 2024 is “Strengthening regional cooperation on monitoring air quality and dust storms in the context of climate change”.
🌫 The aim of the AQCA platform is to unite efforts to combat air pollution in Central Asian countries.
This Central Asian air quality platform AQCA Platfrom was launched in 2022 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan during the first regional air quality conference.
The second AQCA Platform Regional Air Quality Conference was held on February 22-23, 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan under the theme “Systemic Changes to Improve Air Quality”. AQCA conference materials are available at https://aqcaplatform.asia/analytics/30.
The third AQCA Platform regional conference aims to discuss monitoring and forecasting of dust storms, reviewing international experiences and solutions, including natural solutions. Also during this conference, Central Asian countries will present progress in air quality monitoring and the transition to the air quality index AQI .
During the two days, representatives of government agencies of CA countries, international and non-governmental organizations, the expert community and activists will discuss:
📌 Air quality in Central Asia;
📌 Air quality monitoring system and monitoring and forecasting of dust storms;
📌 Impact of air pollution on human health, respiratory diseases in Central Asian countries;
📌 State air quality regulation and air quality standards in Central Asian countries;
📌 International experience in monitoring and response to dust storms;
📌 Emissions control at source and green technologies;
📌 Results of studies of international and regional organizations on air quality in Central Asian countries;
📌 Follow-up actions and results of hydrometers of Central Asian countries on monitoring of dust storms and progress on transition to AQI air quality index.
Based on the results of the discussion and exchange of experience, representatives of Central Asian countries will develop a regional air quality action plan for 2025.
