Join us for a regional webinar to explore the ICAT Guide, “Transparency for Cooperative Approaches under the Paris Agreement: A Guide to Linking Articles 6 and 13.” As part of efforts to promote tools that support countries’ capacity to engage in Article 6 and Article 13 of the Paris Agreement, the team of the Regional Climate Action Transparency Hub (ReCATH) for Central Asia is translating and adapting the ICAT Guide: “Transparency for Cooperative Approaches under the Paris Agreement: A Guide to Linking Articles 6 and 13” into Russian. To provide participants with a deeper understanding of the guide, an online regional webinar is planned for a wide range of stakeholders. The event is scheduled for September, 26 2024 at 15:00 Almaty time, in an online format.

The ICAT Guide offers a comprehensive framework to help countries navigate the reporting and accounting requirements for participating in cooperative approaches under Article 6, ensuring environmental integrity and alignment with global climate goals, as well as how countries can integrate Article 6 activities into their national transparency frameworks and international reporting obligations, fostering stronger participation in global climate actions.

The purpose of the second webinar is to help participants clarify questions remaining after a detailed review of the manual, as well as to provide up-to-date information on Articles 6.2,6.4, 6.8 and information to be discussed at COP29.

The event will be conducted in Russian and is relevant for policymakers, experts involved in developing national climate policies and emission trading systems, as well as academics.
