Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian company ACWA Power, Mohammed Abunayan, who took part in the meeting, spoke about the prospects of a joint investment project for the construction of a 1 GW wind power plant in the Zhetysu region, as well as plans for interaction with Kazakhstan in the field of green energy.
“As a result of the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the implementation of a joint project for the construction of a wind power plant.”
Abdulaziz bin Salman thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome.
“We highly value bilateral relations with Kazakhstan, which have deep historical roots. Saudi Arabia was among the first countries to extend a helping hand to Kazakhstan, which had just gained its independence,” the minister said.
At the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakh-Saudi relations have reached an unprecedented level. He recalled that his agreements with the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud gave a powerful impetus to bilateral cooperation in all sectors.
