Background
Since 2013, the Network of Academic Societies (NAS) has been active in Central Asia, established by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC).
NAS facilitates interaction and knowledge exchange among representatives of educational institutions engaged in environmental management and the governance of water,
land, and energy resources under climate change conditions.
Currently, the network is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the USAID Central Asia’s Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity.
