Progress and Challenges in Achieving NDCs in Asia” side event was held at the #Tajikistan Pavilion during COP28 in Dubai on December 9, 2023. Organized by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan in cooperation with the NDC Partnership, the event focused on the efforts and challenges faced by Asian countries in implementing their Nationally Determined Contributions (#NDCs).
Speakers from Tajikistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka shared valuable insights on their countries’ progress in NDC implementation. Their perspectives provided an overview of the actions being taken to combat climate change in different parts of Asia.
The event benefitted from the participation of representatives from international partners, including the Asian Development Bank (#ADB) and other donors. Their support and expertise showcased the importance of international cooperation in addressing climate challenges and assisting Asian countries in implementing their NDCs.
