This is a national report on the innovative approach for sustainable use of the Ramsar /Potentially Ramsar in Central Asia through partnership and cooperation specifically in the territory of Turkmenistan. The wetlands of Turkmenistan, as well as the whole Central Asian region are considered the main ecological, economic and, as a consequence of the political factor. In order to help maintain a healthy ecosystem in Turkmenistan, a plan which has three main directions has been established: sustainable use of national wetlands; nomination of relevant wetlands in Ramsar List of International Importance efficient, sustainable management; development and support of international transboundary wetlands, similar WBA systems and general types of their biodiversity.
