The European Union (EU) has supported the Environment and Security Initiative through its Stability Instrument.
(ENVSEC) to promote regional stability through cross-border cooperation on adaptation to the impacts
climate change.
National participants also provided input and comments on the regional assessment report.
consultations held in Central Asian countries in 2014-2015. Draft Final Results Report regional assessment was discussed with a wide range of people and was agreed upon during meetings within the framework of the regional consultation Environment and Security (ESS) meetings on climate change and security in Central Asia (20-January 21, 2016, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic).
