It is no secret that the Central Asian region is one of the most vulnerable regions, but still poorly involved in global processes to combat climate change. It was with the aim of solving this problem that the Program for Adaptation to Climate Change and Mitigation of Its Consequences in the Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB) was created. The main objectives of the project are to provide knowledge about climate change, demonstrate existing results, successes and lessons learned, as well as find solutions in this area.

However, to solve as many multifaceted and comprehensive problems as climate change, the efforts of one project may not be enough. Consolidation of efforts of all interested parties is required. The stakeholders of the project in this case are representatives of government bodies, including local authorities, civil society organizations, the media, farmers’ communities, as well as international and regional organizations.

The project interacts with stakeholders during various activities supported by the project. These are annual conferences on climate change, and regular seminars, trainings and meetings, which are held at the international, regional and national levels and are focused on individual target groups. The project actively uses such a form of interaction with stakeholders as contests held among journalists and photojournalists, researchers and farmers. Stakeholders are informed through the media and social media, as well as through the development of the Central Asian Climate Information Portal – – http://www.ca-climate.org/ Work with civil society organizations is carried out within the framework of the Regional Climate Network of NGOs on the basis of annual plans, determined on the basis of proposals of its participants.

In the context of the global coronavirus pandemic, remote forms of working with stakeholders are becoming more and more popular.
