This report presents the results of one of the first practical applications of the Water Footprint
Assessment methodology in the Central Asian region. The Water Footprint is a measure of the water used for the production of goods and services. The Blue Water Footprint refers to the consumption of surface and groundwater, while the green Water Footprint refers to the direct consumption of rainwater: the grey Water Footprint refers to pollution.
