Valencia, Spain – February 27-28, 2024.
On February 27-28, the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) hosted the first meeting of the Land Management, Environment & SoLId-WastE (LESLIE) under the Erasmus+ Programme established by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). LESLIE project aims at introducing innovative smart learning methodologies at the universities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan by developing microcredential courses for students in the field of Sustainable Land Management (SLM).
Javier Rodrigo-Ilarri, Associate Professor in Polytechnic University of Valencia, LESLIE project coordinator, gave an overview of the overall project structure, and detailed the project’s work packages. Then the meeting proceeded with institutional presentations from each LESLIE partner, in which they introduced their organization and their experiences in the field of education and environment protection.
During the meeting, tasks were distributed among the partners and a detailed work plan was drawn up, which will help to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The partners discussed the future Learning incubator, SLM microcredential courses, SLM online toolbox, impact and dissemination of the project among the beneficiaries and stakeholders.
The participation of CAREC in the project provides an excellent platform to spread LESLIE’s activities through Central Asian countries, and specifically inside Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
