This is an online version of the Handbook on Best Practices for the Planning, Design and Operation of Wetland Education Centers. The objective of this Handbook is to present a range of key lessons learnt from a variety of wetland education centers around the world. The Handbook will inform people involved in the planning and development of new centers or will assist others in the redevelopment or management of existing centers, as well as aims to provide information to anyone interested in developing a wetland centre. The target audience for the Handbook is intended to be diverse and extensive. Within the Handbook are 9 chapters which explain in details different spheres of wetland education centers.
