Green University under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change is the first specialized university in the region whose activities are fully focused on training highly qualified specialists in the field of environmental protection, sustainable development and climate change. The educational institution was founded as a state university in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-174 dated May 31, 2023.

The University carries out educational and scientific activities in close cooperation with leading domestic and foreign partners, including international organizations, research institutes and environmental centers. Particular attention is paid to training personnel capable of developing and implementing effective solutions in the field of environmental policy, green economy and adaptation to climate change.

Admissions are open for the following areas for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The training is carried out according to the credit-modular system in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The language of instruction in all areas is English.

Particular attention is paid to the development of practical skills, student participation in applied research, internships and international academic mobility programs.

It is worth noting that Green University is a center for scientific research in key areas:
– mitigation and adaptation to climate change;
– biodiversity protection;
– sustainable management of natural resources;
– development of a circular economy and green technologies.

The university structure includes specialized research institutes and specialized laboratories equipped with modern equipment, which ensures a high level of training and involvement of students in scientific activities from the first year of study.

In addition, the university is a platform for international cooperation. Students participate in internships, joint projects and academic exchanges with leading universities and organizations, including UNEP, World Bank, JICA and IUCN.
