CAREC invites you to a regional training on the use of web portals and the SWIM hydrological model

On February 26, 2026, the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) will conduct a regional training on the use of web portals and the SWIM hydrological model in an online format.

The event aims to increase the capacity of specialists, representatives of government and non-governmental organizations, NGOs, the academic community, and farmers in the use of climate information for decision-making.

Participants will become familiar with the capabilities of the CACIP Tools section, gain basic knowledge of the application of the SWIM (Soil and Water Integrated Model) and machine learning methods for seasonal river runoff forecasting, and expand their understanding of climate risks.

The training is organized by CAREC with co-financing from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) within the framework of the Climate Risk Management in Central Asia program, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
