The RWG with the support of the GIZ programme ‘Green Central Asia, Phase I – Transboundary Dialogue on Climate, Environment and Security in Central Asia and Afghanistan, 2020-31 March 2024’ with the involvement of international and national experts, during a complex negotiation process, the Central Asian countries developed the ‘Regional Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change in Central Asia’ (RCCAS)

The main objective of the fourth meeting of the RWG is:

• Presentation and discussion of the preliminary analysis, methodology and initial work on the development of the RCCAS implementation plan.
• Presentation of a preliminary assessment of the situation and approaches for the development of the Roadmap for Regional Climate Finance Mobilisation.

• Discussion of current activities on the implementation of RCCAS and opportunities for new partnerships.
