Online side-event “Regional Dialogue on Cryospheric Sciences in Central Asia”

2025, the International Year of Glacier Conservation, has concluded and passed the baton to the Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences (2025–2034). To maintain momentum and build on the achievements achieved, it is important to continue dialogue and regional cooperation.
Therefore, on March 19, the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty will hold an online side event dedicated to developing cooperation in cryospheric sciences in Central Asia.
The dialogue aims to strengthen joint research, monitoring and knowledge sharing so that scientific evidence can better support decisions on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
