We are pleased to announce the upcoming Tashkent Water Security Forum (TWSF) 2026, jointly organized with TIIAME National Research University and GFZ Helmholtz-Centre for Geosciences within the framework of the Green Central Asia Program. The forum will take place on March 26, 2026, at TIIAME National Research University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The theme of the next TWSF is
“From Knowledge to Action: Bridging Science and Policy for Central Asian Water Security”.

Since 2020, the Tashkent Water Security Forum – originally launched as the Tashkent Water Security Lectures – has been held annually, serving as a platform to foster dialogue between science and policy in the water sector of Central Asia. The previous seven events, organized in Germany and Uzbekistan, have contributed significantly to knowledge exchange and collaboration between water scientists and decision-makers in the region.

The 2026 forum will be organized as an in-person event. Registration is now open and can be completed via the following link: https://events.gfz.de/tashkent-water-security-forum.
