In Shenzhen, the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (ICGTIP) and the China-Eurasia Business Council (CEBC) signed a strategic agreement aimed at attracting Chinese investment in environmental projects in Kazakhstan. The document establishes cooperation in the field of green technology transfer, implementation of sustainable solutions and implementation of pilot initiatives.
At the B2B investment forum organized by CEBC, MCZTIP and Zhasyl Damu presented a number of promising Kazakhstani startups. Of particular interest was the OzenM project, developed within the framework of the GCIP Kazakhstan program. It is an intelligent environmental monitoring platform designed for installation at hydroposts. The Chinese company Lihero expressed readiness for cooperation, and in the near future the parties plan to discuss the possibility of integrating the technology into more than 1,000 hydroposts located in Kazakhstan.
Vladimir Oleshchenko also presented the concept of an eco-village project aimed at building 100 autonomous ecological settlements according to BREED and LEED standards. The preliminary agreement for $600 million with Chinese investors covers 600 hectares of land in picturesque regions of Kazakhstan.
The eco-villages will be completely energy independent – with solar panels, rainwater collection systems, greenhouses and the possibility of passive income for residents. The project is designed to provide a sustainable, green and safe alternative to urban living with clean air and protection from energy outages.
On the same day, the delegation of the International Center for Waste Management and Infrastructure Development and Zhasyl Damu visited the world’s largest waste incineration plant, managed by PK Environment (Guangzhou). Kazakhstani waste processing enterprises presented their own technologies, including solutions for the disposal of solid household waste, oil-containing and rubber-containing waste. The Chinese side expressed its readiness to study in more detail the business plans and technical characteristics of the presented projects.
The first day of the working visit ended with the strengthening of strategic contacts and confirmation of the high interest of Chinese partners in Kazakhstan’s environmental initiatives. ICTIP continues to promote national developments at the international level, forming a solid platform for green technology exchange.
