May 3, 2025 — The final event of the eco-campaign “Glaciers’ Preservation Month – 2025” was held in the picturesque location of Green Wood House (Gissar city), organized by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of GIZ.

During the campaign, thousands of citizens were attracted to the issues of glacier melting and sustainable water management . Among the key events:

two thematic podcasts

two radio programs on national waves

online quiz with the participation of more than 100 people

online challenge “Glaciers’ Preservation”

art competition “Preserving Glaciers is Our Future” with the participation of 60 young artists

The best authors and active participants were awarded at the event.

In her speech, the representative of the Committee on Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan noted:

“No state strategy will be effective without partnership with civil society. Our joint creative formats have made the climate agenda closer and more understandable to everyone.”

The results of the campaign will become part of the preparation for the First International High-Level Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation (Dushanbe, May 29-31, 2025).
