The concept for the 570-article document was presented for public comment. The code regulates environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources.
The document was developed by industry experts and lawyers, taking into account international experience and national legislation, the Committee’s press service noted.
The draft Code will be submitted for review to a wide range of government agencies, international organizations, public associations, the scientific community, as well as a wide range of citizens – individuals and legal entities.
In addition, Tajikistan received UN gratitude for its support of the early warning system.
The Office of the Disaster Risk Reduction Organization recognized the republic as one of the first countries to support the global initiative, the press service of the republic’s Meteorological Agency reported.
It should be noted that the Global Initiative “Early Warning for All” is a large-scale global project launched by the United Nations, in particular the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 2022.
The initiative’s main goal is to ensure that by 2027, all residents of the planet have access to an early warning system for natural and hydrometeorological risks.
