As reported by the press service of the Russian Government, during the meeting an initiative was put forward to create a multilateral mechanism of interaction that will allow developing common approaches and standards for studying changes in the Caspian Sea. The possibility of using the Coordination Committee for Caspian Hydrometeorology as a single platform for data exchange and coordination of efforts was also discussed.
The parties expressed hope for the intensification of regional dialogue within the framework of the Tehran Convention, aimed at developing joint solutions to preserve the ecological balance of the Caspian region.
