Outline
The ESD Okayama Award has been held since 2015 under the joint sponsorship of the City of Okayama and the ESD Okayama Award Steering Board. The award aims to honor excellent examples of ESD around the world, support the activities of award-winning project organizations, contribute to the spread of ESD activities, and ultimately help to achieve the SDGs.
Eligibility
ESD projects that have been implemented for more than 3 years (as of April 2026) by organizations anywhere in the world

Prize
US $3,000 per project
Application Deadline
14 May 2026 (Thursday) and 5:00pm (Japan Standard Time)

Award Ceremony
City of Okayama will invite one representative from each organization implementing an award-winning project to the city. The invitee will attend the award ceremony (Saturday, November 14, 2026), give a presentation of the award-winning project, and interact with local organizations in Okayama area.

After reviewing the Application Guide and Application Form (Draft) and preparing any additional materials or photos you wish to submit, please submit the Application Form online.

Apply by filling out the Application Form on the website provided in the automated email.

You will receive an automated email with an acceptance of your application.
(4) Completion of Application
You will receive an email from the secretariat upon completion of the application.
