Since 2018, UNDP’s Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) has helped mobilize over US$1.6 billion in over 40 countries. Today, with support from the Global Environment Facility, the BIOFIN methodology has expanded to over 130 countries. It helps governments assess biodiversity finance needs, identify spending inefficiencies, and develop sustainable finance solutions.

💻 A new online course on biodiversity finance offers a practical introduction to this approach. It is open to all and equips participants to integrate biodiversity into national planning, policy, and finance.
