Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) Small Grants Program in Central Asia
Grant amount: from $500 to $15,000
Deadline: October 1, 2025 (until 24:00, Almaty time)
Who can apply?— Public environmental organizations (NGOs)
— Initiative groups, including those with the participation of women, youth, people with disabilities and traditional communities
What projects are supported?– Environmental justice and community rights protection
— Environmental safety and adaptation to climate change
— Renewable energy and sustainable transition
— Conservation of biodiversity and rational use of resources
— Cross-border environmental initiatives
— Support for activists’ participation in international meetings and conferences
Types of grants:— up to $7,000: projects in one country
— up to $15,000: regional projects (with partners from countries in the region)
— up to $4,000: travel grants
Not supported: projects limited to waste collection, tree planting, environmental education or festivals, as well as activities of commercial companies and government agencies.
Geography: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan
