Kyrgyzstan tenders 15 sites for solar and small hydropower projects

 

QAZAQ GREEN.  Kyrgyzstan’s Green Energy Fund has announced a tender for 15 sites to develop renewable energy facilities. Applications are accepted until April 2, 2026, with the selection scheduled for April 3 in Bishkek, Economist.kg reports.

Investors are offered three solar power plant sites with a combined capacity of 1.3 GW and 12 small hydropower plant sites ranging from 2 to 35 MW across five regions.

The largest solar projects are planned for Issyk-Kul (300 MW), Batken and Jalal-Abad regions (500 MW each). Small hydropower sites span Issyk-Kul, Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad and Talas regions.

The tender will be held on April 3 at 14:00 at 56 Erkindik Boulevard, Bishkek.
