The key moment was the presentation of the updated Concept of the future summit and the draft Joint Declaration of the Heads of State of Central Asia. The participants discussed strategic initiatives that will be included in the final agenda of the forum: from innovations in the field of “green” technologies and climate solutions to the revival of ecosystems and saving the Aral Sea.

Particular attention was paid to water resources management, climate change adaptation, promotion of the circular economy and strengthening sustainable development in general.

The meeting included an exhibition of green startups – participants of the GCIP Kazakhstan Green Acceleration Program. Innovative projects in the field of energy efficiency, waste recycling, rational use of resources and environmentally friendly technologies were presented, which are already capable of contributing to the formation of a “green” economy in the region, the Ministry of Ecology reported.

The meeting resulted in a confirmation of the region’s shared determination to move towards the 2026 summit with a single environmental voice. Astana is not just waiting for a forum – one of the most important “green” summits of the decade is ahead.
