A meeting of the Women’s Public Council was held at the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the meeting, issues related to the role of women’s initiatives in environmental protection, increasing the level of environmental awareness, and engaging the public in addressing environmental challenges were discussed.

The participants emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation between government bodies and civil society, and put forward proposals on ways to enhance women’s contribution to the implementation of environmental initiatives.

It was noted that women hold an active position within environmental protection bodies, consistently receive care and support from the Government of the country, and work and carry out their activities on an equal basis with men.
